The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is an independent nonprofit that investigates and exposes corruption and other misconduct in order to achieve a more effective, accountable, open, and ethical federal government. POGO was looking for a web-based CRM solution that was affordable and selected the Convio Common Ground platform as the best fit. Firefly was brought in as the implementation partner for this project, and boy did we have fun!
- Problem
POGO had relied on the limited functionality of an eCRM database and Excel worksheets for too long. Their data silos were having a negative impact on their work. Because they have a robust online presence and use the Convio Constituent 360 database for online data management, POGO needed a CRM that was directly integrated with the C360 system. They also faced the challenge of having a lean project team who had other responsibilities to attend to during the project.
- Solution
Firefly Partners presented a project timeline which included a sane and efficient plan, resulting in the completion of their Convio Common Ground Implementation project in just two months! This carefully crafted plan also aligned with the budget – and that meant no unpleasant surprises mid-way through.
Firefly meets with our client project teams on a weekly basis to keep our projects moving forward, identifying back office systems changes needed to support the adoption of new tools. We take the time to train and prepare our clients to take full advantage of their delivered solution.
Using our proven approach (which included transparency and constant communication with the POGO team), Firefly Partners was able to successfully implement Common Ground two weeks ahead of the original project schedule! POGO was so impressed with the way that their Common Ground Implementation project was handled by the Firefly Partners team that they immediately returned to us for assistance with upgrades to their COM-powered website, including launching a Welcome Series email campaign.
