Responsive Design & Mobile-Friendly Website

Client: Casey Trees

Casey Trees felt boxed in by their website design. There were frontiers to explore online that simply didn’t fit in their outdated look and feel. It was time for a change! They were ready for a captivating new website that would highlight its offerings and achievements while being easy to navigate using mobile devices.

Casey Trees' existing site was difficult for visitors to navigate, a challenge for staff to update, and failed to showcase the organization's many activities and latest news. With many events set to take place in upcoming spring tree planting season, Casey Trees needed to offer its volunteers and supporters a more pleasant, streamlined user experience.

Firefly Partners created a fresh and natural website design that reflects the organization’s updated branding. Our design discovery process helped Casey Trees identify and prioritize their audiences and engagement opportunities.  We baked this strategic thinking deep into the design to be sure the right visitors were lead to the right actions, including volunteer activities and events, online giving and social media networking.

Firefly built a user-friendly website on the Word Press CMS that integrates the organization’s blog seamlessly into the site architecture. In response to Casey Trees' goal to "design for the future," Firefly implemented adaptive coding, also known as responsive design, which results in a website display that adjusts based on the size of the device being used – standard monitor, tablet computer, or mobile phone.

Firefly also developed page wrappers, email stationery, and an eCommerce store in the Convio Luminate Online marketing platform that complement the new design.
